ESS Star Tech is an independent consultancy in Mumbai. We design and build the platform pieces product engineering teams need — clusters and networking, delivery pipelines, observability, and API gateways — and leave them runnable by your people.

Engagements are hands-on: architecture, configuration, migration cutovers, and working systems, not slide decks or an ops pager rotation.

Where we help

We build and ship the work. Advice without implementation is not the product.

  1. Platform engineering

    Design and implement the shared platform: environments, networking, identity integration, baseline services, and the automation your app teams use every day.

  2. Fixed-scope builds and migrations

    Time-boxed engagements with a written plan and concrete deliverables — reference configs, migrated workloads, and a working cutover — not a report that sits in a folder.

  3. Observability pipelines

    Collectors, routing, retention, and cost controls for metrics, logs, and traces — wired so the signals are usable and owned by your team.

  4. API gateway implementation

    Evaluation when needed, then packaging, auth model, GitOps, and cutover so the gateway is in production — not stranded as a design doc.

  5. Kubernetes and cloud foundations

    Node pools, autoscaling, networking, and multi-environment patterns — implemented as reference configurations and live infrastructure your team can operate.

How working with us goes

Engagements usually begin with a short scoping call, followed by a written proposal. Two shapes are common: a fixed-scope build or migration with defined deliverables, or a monthly retainer for ongoing platform engineering. Work is remote, with hours in IST and overlap for US and EU time zones.

Contracts and invoices are issued by ESS Star Tech. GST invoices are available. At the end of an engagement you keep the code, configs, documentation, and a clear handover so ownership stays with your team.

  1. Scoping call

    Stack, constraints, and what “done” looks like in production.

  2. Written proposal

    Scope, shape (fixed build or retainer), timeline, and commercial terms.

  3. Build or retainer

    Hands-on engineering against the agreed scope, with working deliverables.

  4. Handover

    Configs, docs, and a clear handoff so your team can run what we built.

ESS Star Tech is an independent technology consultancy based in Mumbai. We work with product and engineering teams in India and abroad on cloud platforms, Kubernetes foundations, observability, and API infrastructure.

We do the engineering. The person on the engagement designs and implements — not a relay into a larger bench, and not a deck of recommendations without the build.
